Swimming Lessons

Ascot Aquatic Centre offers swimming lessons from the age of six months to adults, in a friendly, nurturing and professional environment.

Enrolment Terms & Conditions

Miller Swim School instructors are all fully qualified and have regular in house training and mentoring, as well as the necessary reaccreditation and training.

Make-Up Policy

Make-up lessons are subject to limited availability and are not guaranteed. We allow two make-up lessons per term per child, as long as we are notified at least 2 hours prior to lesson time, via email:

  • All make-up lessons must be completed before the end of term and may not be carried over to the next term.
  • We do not give credits/refunds for any missed lessons.
  • We do not guarantee make-up lessons will be available on the day/time you request.
  • If you do not attend or cancel a booked make-up lesson, you will not be entitled to another one.
  • Rescheduling of a lesson is considered a make-up lesson.

In the unlikely event that we have to cancel lessons, we will endeavour to let families know immediately and will allow an additional make-up lesson – see make-up policy above.

 

Private Lessons

There is limited opportunity to make up private lessons. Pre-payment for bookings is required, and as per the make-up policy, absences must be notified in advance. Only two missed lessons will be allowed. Accounts will be reconciled at the end of term.

 

Refunds

Fees are not refundable. However, we understand that sometimes unavoidable circumstances occur. Each situation will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with our policies. Refund or withdrawal requests must be via email.

 

Health & Medical

  • Do not attend swimming lessons if you are sick with any cold/flu-like symptoms or have had vomiting or diarrhoea in the last 14 days.
  • All infants under the age of 3 years are required to wear a Swim Nappy when in our pools.
  • Participants/Parents/Guardians must be physically fit to participate in swimming lessons and will advise via email of any known medical conditions that instructors should be aware of prior to participation in the lessons:

Admittance

On entry to the Pool, please provide staff with your child’s name for their lessons so that attendance can be entered into our system.
Children 10 years and under must be accompanied & supervised by a parent/guardian over the age of 18 years at all times.
Ascot Aquatics Centre is a Program-only pool – there is no recreational swimming before or after lessons.

 

Class Consolidation and Change of Instructors

Miller Swim School reserves the right to consolidate classes as necessary for the successful running of the program.
We understand that some of our students/parents may become fond of particular instructors. We will always try our best to respond to your requests;
however, we cannot guarantee an instructor and we reserve the right to make changes if required.

 


 

FAQ

 

How can I pay?

Please pay at Reception. We accept cash or major credit/debit cards, except AMEX. Alternatively, we offer a Bank Deposit option, details of which can be found on your invoice.

 

When do I pay?

Payment is requested within 3 days of enrolment confirmation. Payment must be received before the first lesson.

 

What do I do if my child is or has been sick?

Please do not attend lessons if your child is sick. As per the make-up policy, please notify us before the lesson time of their absence to be eligible for a make-up lesson.

If your child has diarrhoea or an associated illness, the child must not enter the pool for at least 2 weeks.

 

Can I stay and play after my lesson?

Ascot Aquatics Centre is a Program-only pool – there is no recreational swimming before or after lessons.

 

Can I change my lesson day/time/instructor?

Change requests are allowed, but as our lessons are often full, we cannot guarantee your request can be met.

Once an enrolment is confirmed and paid for the term, lessons are not refundable, and enrolments cannot be contingent on a particular instructor.
