Dear Parents & Swimmers,

Term 1 will be finishing on Saturday 2nd of April. 

It has been a challenging few weeks with flooding and the recent spike in COVID cases, which has resulted in students being unable to attend lessons. 

We are happy to offer makeup lessons for families that have been unable to attend their lessons due to these recent events. Please contact us via phone or email to arrange for a suitable makeup lesson before the end of Term 1.

Our team will endeavour to accommodate every request where possible. 

Term 2

Term 2 will be commencing on Tuesday 9th of April (after the Easter long weekend).

Your child/children will be automatically rolled over into their current lessons for Term 2. Please notify us via email if you don’t wish to continue lessons next term or need to make any changes to lesson scheduling.

We realise that people have gone through a very hard time over the last few weeks, and we hope that you have all managed to stay safe.

Ascot Aquatics Centre

As we’re gearing up for the festive season, our team is preparing to take a short break over Christmas. The centre will be closed from Saturday 18th of December at 3 pm until Tuesday 4th of January at 8 am.

Aqua Aerobics will be recommencing on the 10th of January.

Magic Boxing classes will be recommencing on the 16th of January.

Looking for a fun way to entertain the kids this summer holidays?

This is an excellent way to accelerate your child’s swim progress and also prepare for the new year.

Available Dates:
Week 1: Tue 04/Jan – Fri 07/Jan (4 days)
Week 2: Mon 10/Jan – Fri 14/Jan (5 days)
Week 3: Mon 17/Jan – Fri 21/Jan (5 days)

Cost of Lessons:
4 days: $96
5 days: $120
9 days: $185
10 days: $200

Great job Brisbane! ????

The Premier announced this morning that Greater Brisbane’s lockdown will end tonight (Monday 11th January) at 6 pm.

However, following the Queensland Health Guidelines, there are a few important changes that will stay in place until Friday, January 22nd (subject to any changes):

???? WHEN SHOULD I WEAR A MASK? ????

✅ Inside the centre
✅ Observing swim lessons/classes
✅ Participating in any land-based activity
✅ Using the bathrooms

???? WHEN SHOULD I NOT WEAR A MASK? ????
❌ When actively participating in a water-based activity (e.g. aqua classes or swim lessons)

Ascot Aquatics Centre will reopen tomorrow as usual – 8:00 am – 7:00 pm and Holiday Swim Block will recommence.

For the swimmers that missed their Monday holiday swim block session due to the recent closure, we will be offering the following compensation methods:
Refund of 1 lesson
1 x lesson cost deducted from Term 1 lesson fees
1 x free makeup lesson during Term 1 (to be accessed only after the first 2 weeks of the term)

Please note:
*Only applicable to customers that have paid in advance for Monday 11th of January session.
* Swimmers who are commencing lessons tomorrow will only be required to pay for 4 sessions and not 5.

Ascot Aquatics Centre is supporting The Smith Family Toy & Book Appeal. This is your opportunity to help bring a smile to a disadvantaged child’s face this Christmas.

Here’s everything you need to know:
– Gifts must be new and unwrapped (no second-hand)
– Gifts must be handed to the staff at the kiosk before Tuesday 8th December

Sadly, thousands of Australian children will go without receiving a gift this holiday season simply because their families can’t afford it. During this pandemic, the children and families we support remain at the heart of everything we do, and more than ever before, it’s so important that we help them end 2020 on a brighter note.

Please note that the collection deadline is Tuesday 8th December

With the weather cooling down, our pools are just starting to heat up to welcome our first customers to Ascot Aquatics Centre. We have had an overwhelming amount of interest in our various programs, and we are excited to announce that all programs will be commencing on Monday 3rd August.
